The story so far…

Allow me to share a bit about myself. I am the founder of dap 23.

I’m a marketing strategist, video producer and photographer. I have spent most of my career working with or within manufacturing companies.

My background

I began my career in marketing by studying at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CEM) and later working for a company that manufactured automation equipment for manufacturers. After almost two decades, I realised I wanted to switch things up and focus on my passion for photography and film. I learned the skills and started working at a media agency, producing content for businesses primarily for marketing. This experience helped me develop my skills in marketing strategy, commercial photography, and video marketing. This, coupled with my knowledge of business development, gave me a unique skill set.

The Why

I wanted DAP 23 to be the catalyst that changed how manufacturers communicate and do business with one another, enabling them to get a deeper understanding of what each other does and what is needed from each party to achieve the best possible outcome.

I had noticed a disconnect between the type of videos being produced and what was needed to achieve growth. The videos I saw were very generic, almost tick-box exercises, as if to say, 'We know we need a video, so here is a video.' They didn't serve a real purpose.

I wanted to change this.

The Mission

I aim to help manufacturers use video to connect, educate, and entertain their audience—building new relationships and strengthening existing ones.

Understanding the problems they solved and communicating the solutions—delivering the right message to the right people at the right time.

It’s just me in the business, and that's okay. I want to keep it small.

To get the work done, I call on a network of freelancers, all with specialities and all outstanding in their field. It’s a micro business that is part of a network, with extensive ambition and capability.
